CGA PS-9 – CGA Position Statement on the Use of Copper in Acetylene Service
CGA PS-9 addresses the issue of explosive copper actylides formed as a result of pure copper and/or copper bearing alloys in the presence of acetylene under pressure. Guidelines are given as to the percentage of copper generally considered acceptable based on years of history.
