This Standard establishes the definition of compositeparts that are not covered within the existing ASME Y14Series of standards. This Standard defines exceptionsand additional requirements to existing ASME standardsfor defining composite parts. Composite parts asaddressed by this Standard are inseparable assembliesof composite materials that may include noncompositematerial(s). When no exception or additional requirementsare stated, existing ASME standards shall apply.
